Q: What led you to Get Back Necklaces?

A: My husband, Scott Gousha was the founder of Get Back in 1999! When he passed  away, Nick and I decided to continue.

Q: What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?

A: Don’t take ANYTHING personally. Everyone is just doing the best they can at any  given time.

Q: Do you have a #StChrisStory? (eg. an interesting fact about where you got your first  St Christopher, what yours means to you, your favorite memory when you were wearing  one, a story about a time you gave one to someone else, etc)

A: I have an old St. Christopher that my husband gave me when he was practicing his  etching skills on some plain back medals. It has our initials - SG + BG. It means a lot.

Q: What do you love most about your team?

A: I love their uniqueness and it seems like everyone has a pretty good sense of humor.

Q: What led you to Get Back Necklaces?

A: I was spending the summer before I graduated in California and I was looking for an internship that would be fun and flexible so I could not only grow as a student but spend my summer exploring San Diego!

Q: What energizes you/inspires you @ Get Back?

A: I love helping people and I get to do that all day long and interact with our customers first hand.

Q: What’s one of your favorite memories from the past year?

A:  Watching the bioluminescent waves last May in CA!

Q: What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?

A:  My mom told me to not do my homework once. I am definitely a rule follower and I usually have things done ahead of time. It kind of shocked me into realizing that life is more than just homework (or anything stressful).

Q: What’s one thing you’re learning now, and why is it important?

A: Lately I have been learning more about plants and caring for plants. It’s important to me so that I have something to do away from technology!

Q: What led you to Get Back Necklaces?

A: I managed a surf shop on the boardwalk in New Jersey (shout out to Seventh Street!!) and did a lot of the jewelry buying. These necklaces sell like crazy over there so I would talk to Nick (the owner of GB) on the phone like every other week and we worked really well together. When it got time for me to move onto my next chapter, he was like, “Hey. Get Back?” And I was like, “Yep. Let’s go.”

Q: What energizes you/inspires you @ Get Back?

A: Hmmm, I think it’s that we are creating all of it. Everything we do behind the scenes, all the decisions, all the brainstorms, all the middle of the night realizations- it’s all manifesting into this thing that is Get Back. It’s been really awesome to watch that play out over the past couple years.

Q: What’s one of your favorite memories from the past year?

A: Oh, easy! I got engaged in October to the world’s greatest human while looking for shark teeth in the Outer Banks!

 Q: Do you have a #StChrisStory?

A:  My dad’s name was Christopher and he traveled the world all over, when he passed my aunts and uncles all got St Christopher tattoos. I started working at a surf shop in college and when I saw these medallions, I couldn’t believe how much they immediately meant to me. Now, I work for Get Back and I feel like it’s all come full circle :)

Q: What do you love most about your team?

A: Gah. My team. They’re the most collaborative group of people I've ever worked with. We're always learning, growing, getting better- right alongside this amazing brand we love so much.

Q: What led you to Get Back Necklaces?

A: My friend-turned-boss, Roxy! I used to work with her fiancé at a surf shop & he introduced me to Rox (thanks Dave!!). When I was looking to start a new chapter in life, Roxy was looking for an assistant, and I went for it! I went to school for fashion merchandising & had done a social media internship in the past, but it’s been YEARS so i’m still dusting off some cobwebs in my head-- and loving it!

Q: What’s one thing that surprised you about working @ Get Back?

A: How small the company is! There’s 7 of us & it’s so awesome to be a part of a company where each team member’s work & opinion matters & contributes to every little thing we do

Q: What’s the biggest misconception people have about your position/job?

A: That social media management is easy… it’s a GRIND, in the best way.

Q: Do you have a #StChrisStory?

A: I recently had a friend pass away & brought some St. Chris’ home to friends that really needed them. Everyone was so thankful & now it feels like we’re all connected & safe, no matter what we’re doing/how far away we are from each other.

Q: What’s one thing you’re learning now, and why is it important?

A: I’m in full-on learning mode with the new job! I’m working on learning allll the ins and outs of social media, while getting to know all of our customers (who are the coolest, most creative, most positive people ever. Thankful for all of  you).

Q: What led you to Get Back Necklaces?

A: I first started working for Scott (Nick’s dad) as a housekeeper over 20 years ago. He offered me a part-time job to work with him in the office after a while and I stayed forever. Now, I’ve managed and expanded the Warehouse Department from the ground up. I love GB.

Q: What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?

A: Nick told me one day to visualize what I want for my life. And really ever since, I’ve always gone for the things I want to achieve.

Q: What’s a trip that changed you & why?

A: When I went to the Grand Canyon. Hands down. Spending the nights under the stars and being surrounded with the amazing views all day were incredible. It confirmed for me that I love striving to achieve what I want.

Q: What’s one thing you’re learning now, and why is it important?

A: For now, my goal is to go back to school. It is important for me to speak English more fluently so I can continue to grow.

Q: Do you have a #StChrisStory?

A: My first memory of Saint Christopher was that whenever my mom would take me to the office as a little girl, the previous owner Scott (Nick’s dad) would always offer me a medallion. My neighborhood friends and I put one of the necklaces into a time capsule when we were kids (and I now totally forget where it’s hidden) so I hope someday someone finds it and looks us up!!

Q: What’s one of your favorite memories from the past year?

A: Solo beach strolls have been my favorite part of quarantine. So calming :)

Q: What’s a trip that changed you & why?

A: A trip to Lake Tahoe a while back made me realize how important it is to pay attention to the simple things. I think it made me appreciate more of what's around me, especially the little memorable moments, rather than seeking what’s glamorous and extra.

Q: What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?

A: My Dad once told me not to give up, that there's always a solution to our problems in life.
