Spooktober Edition
We’re still trying to deny that it’s actually fall- buuttt we’re starting to accept it + incorporate our favorite summer activities and traditions into the mix. Preparing ourselves for chilly morning surf checks, cold ocean dips and bonfires on the beach. Now that it’s spooky season, we gathered our besties and recreated our pumpkin head surfing activity from last year- but this time- with the gals! You'll catch us carving waves and pumpkins every year;)

Carving by the Coast
This year we met up with Kaitlyn and Cierra at Point Loma University to carve their pumpkin heads on the beautiful Sunset Cliffs. Carving pumpkins is such a fun and easy way to celebrate October. The girls both said they "couldn't remember the last time they had carved a pumpkin…” like WHATTT. For us here at GB it’s a yearly thing. No matter how old you are, going to the pumpkin patch + carving the pumpkins will never get old. We just choose to spice it up a lil by surfin’ in em’.

After the faces were carved and the holes were big enough to fit on their heads we packed up the car and headed over to Ocean Beach to catch some waves. It was perfect for longboarding - small steady waves- especially with having an extra 10 Lbs on your head, hehe. We always get a lot of looks from tourists on the beach or fellow surfers in the line-up, looking at us like “are they about to…” YUP we’re about to do what you think we’re about to do!

The girls paddled out with their pumpkins on their boards and once they were past the waves they put on their pumpkin heads. Surfing is hard enough without a huge pumpkin on your head but the girls absolutely killed it. They were able to catch a couple good waves + gave everyone on the beach a lil show. We love doing this every year to see the smiles on everyone's faces as they realize we really are surfing with the pumpkins.

Style Spotlight:
Even though it is fall were are still holding on to endless summer. Our new Off the Coast charm necklace + earrings remind us of the warm sunny days on the beach with our besties.

Eco Feature:
There’s nothing scarier than showing up in the same Amazon costume as three other people at the party. Thrifting your Halloween look isn’t just better for the planet — it’s way more fun. You get to dig through racks, find hidden gems, and build something that’s actually you. Plus, vintage tees, funky accessories, and old denim always hit harder than anything store-bought. This year, skip the fast fashion and make your costume a vibe.
Community Feature:
Here’s a few of our favorite ambassadors rockin; their fall fits + a GB necklace stack;)
